CONduit and A-to-Z

On the sidebar of my blog right now, you'll see a poll. This is for a Salt Lake area Sci-Fi/Fantasy Convention called CONduit that takes place near the end of May. A few of my friends are planning on purchasing a table in the dealer's room. My husband is planning on showcasing Villages, and Nikki is putting together some book stuff... but... I don't know what I should bring. Should I focus on art, or my unfinished book? Or just focus on promoting this site and let people wander from there to either one? Or, bring art and book stuff and talk about my endeavors and such? I just don't know. So please, let me know what you think I should focus on.

Also, starting on April 1st, you're going to see a post every day. (I know, after saying I don't have time for that...) The point of the A to Z challenge is to write a post for every letter of the English alphabet, and to do it all in the month of April. However, like this post, they're going to be pretty short. And I will not be offended if you only read a couple of them. There will probably be a few serious posts mixed in with the others, but just so we're clear, this is a temporary thing. I'll be back to posting twice a week after April is over. :)

Thanks!

  1. CONduit is awesome. It was my very first convention ever. I also here Snow College is having a one-day writer's conference in April - my old stomping grounds. I'll be at both. :)

    1. Cool, cool! The whole convention thing is still pretty new to me. Jaron and I started with the GEEX expo last year, and it's so much fun. I definitely want it to be a regular thing.

  2. I'm looking forward to April. A lot of my favorite bloggers are taking part in the A-to-Z blogfest, so it should be interesting, to say the least! Oh, and I've already put in my vote earlier in the week of what you could concentrate on at CONduit. :)

    1. Thanks for that! Are you planning on participating, too? Or just watching?

    2. I'm definitely sitting this one out on the sidelines (April's heavy on commitments on my end). :( But it gives me more time to read in between, which I'm happy about since I went all out on my blog, and WIP in March. I wish you all the best...can't wait to see what you have planned! :)

  3. Not sure if they'll let us bring cookies, but that would be pretty great. I'm excited for this! Lots of work to do, but it'll hopefully be worthwhile.

    1. Haha. It was kind of a joke, kind of not. I like cookies, and I'm sure it would bring a few people to our table. But even without the cookies, I think our products will be enough to draw at least a few visitors.

    1. Most people I know casually know only one of the things that I do. My music teacher only knew I did music stuff, and when I told her I wanted to be a writer it kinda blew her mind. Same thing with my art teacher. But my writing friends had no idea I did the other two... at least, not until recently.
